Q1: I receive a permission error when I am trying to view what I had entered in the CPD Register
When you receive the permission error, it means:
- You have used Google Chrome browser to access non-Mortgage Choice email(s), and
- You have not signed out from the non-Mortgage Choice’s email account(s).
What you need to do is:
- Click on your profile picture on the top right-hand corner of your Mortgage Choice’s Google email
- If you see non-Mortgage Choice’s email address(es) on the list, make sure you sign out completely from the email account(s).
- Close Google Chrome browser for the changes to take effect.
- Re-open the Google Chrome. Before clicking to view your entries in the CPD Register, you may want to ensure the non-Mortgage Choice email account(s) do not appear when you click on your profile.
Q2: How long does it take for my activities to appear on the register?
Once you click submit in the Google Form, it will appear immediately.
If you can’t see what you have entered, it is highly likely that an error has been made. Refer to Q3 below for further details.
Q3: I have entered a few activities in the register but I can’t see anything when I viewed the register. Is there something wrong with the register?
Google is case sensitive – it must match your email address. If you can’t see your entries, it is highly likely that you have inadvertently entered the wrong the email address.
Here are the common mistakes:
- Lender’s BDM or Group Office’s staff email address is entered as the Credit Rep email address
If you enter the BDM’s email address as the Credit Rep’s email, the activity is not yours.
- Uppercase is used
- "Colin.creditrep@mortgagechoice.com.au"; or
- "colin.Creditrep@mortgagechoice.com.au"; or
- "Colin.Creditrep@mortgagechoice.com.au"
are incorrect. Google will not show any entries that contains uppercase(s) in the Credit Rep’s Email field.
- Space at the beginning, middle or end of the email address
- “colin.creditrep@mortgagechoice.com.au “(with a space at the end);
- “colin.creditrep @mortgagechoice.com.au" (space before @); and
- “ colin.creditrep@mortgagechoice.com.au (a space before colin)
are incorrect and different from "colin.creditrep@mortgagechoice.com.au"
- Misspelling
Common misspellings include:
- colin.creditrep@mortagechoice.com.au
- colin.creditrep@mortgagechocie.com.au
- colin.creditrep@mortgage.choice.com.au
- colin.creditrep@mortgagechoice.com
- colin.creditrep@mortgage.com.au
- Non-Mortgage Choice email
e.g. colin.creditrep@gmail.com, colin.creditrep@hotmail.com
- Name only
e.g. Colin CreditRep
Q4: I attended the National/State Conference online but how come I am not awarded any hours?
When attending online conference, please ensure you login using your own credentials.
Your attendance would NOT be recorded, if you:
- check in but do NOT show any session activity; OR
- do not check in via the provided QR Code; OR
- watch the session on someone else’s computer
Therefore, please ensure you log in your own email address, check in and stay active be awarded the CPD hours.
If you experience any issues, please contact the Event Manager or any Group Office staff immediately on the day of the event. Compliance team is unable your attendance related queries. It is not Compliance team’s responsibility to follow up or check your attendance with another franchise or GO staff member or even other attendees.
Q5: I have entered my activity but I put down the wrong hour/description/contact person. What do I need to do to fix it?
Please send an email to the Compliance team with detail of which entry needs to be amended and what it should be.
Q6: I have duplicated my activity. Can I delete it?
Please send an email to the Compliance team with detail of which entry needs to be deleted.
Q7: How do I know which activities I need to enter myself?
In the nutshell, if the activities are arranged by Mortgage Choice (i.e. State Conference, National Conference, Aspire, On the Couch), Mortgage Choice staff member will enter them for you. Please note, it may take a few weeks to obtain the attendance lists for larger events, such as State and National Conference. The attendance would be entered as soon as it becomes available.
You will need to enter activities such as BDM meetings, MFAA webinars, etc (i.e. non Mortgage Choice arranged activities) yourself.
Q8: Will I be notified if I have not entered enough CPD hours?
Yes, you will be contacted by your State Office around November if you have not recorded a minimum of 20 CPD hours (10 hours for Limited Credit Reps)
Q9: I need to extend my MFAA’s membership but I could not locate my previous year’s activities from the online register. What should I do?
Please send the request to Compliance team for the list of previous year’s activities.
Q10: Why can’t Mortgage Choice get my hours from my MFAA’s membership to save my time?
Due to privacy reasons, we are unable to obtain your information from MFAA. You will need to enter the activities on the Mortgage Choice’s register.
Q11:My email address was changed recently (e.g. from colin.creditrep@mortgagehoice.com.au to colin.creditrep1@mortgagechoice.com.au). Now I can’t view my entries.
If you change your email address, please send an email to Compliance team. Compliance team will manually update the Credit Rep email address in the register. Once updated, you will be able to view them again.
