You can manage the types of emails your contacts receive in the Broker Preference Centre in HubSpot.
For all automated emails that are sent on your behalf, including the Client Care Program, Newsletter Program and Targeted Email Campaign Program, you will need to opt-in to the following categories in the Broker Preference Centre.
Note: You can also set preferences for your entire franchise, for all your contacts, or for an individual contact. Email preferences are set at the primary contact owner's level.
What are the benefits of opting-in?
- Trigger-based emails provide you with the opportunity to communicate to your clients with information tailored to them at the right time. This is a cost-efficient and effective way to communicate and will save you time.
- These emails also help nurture and maintain customer engagement and advocacy.

Customer Preference Centre
Please note, your customers also manage their own subscriptions via a subscription link on the bottom of all HubSpot emails. If a customer chooses to unsubscribe from a campaign your franchise is opted-in to send, the customer’s unsubscribe must be honored and the email will not be sent to the customer. How to manage your email preferences in the Broker Preference Centre
You can opt-in/opt-out of all emails, or certain categories (for example, you can choose to just opt-out of the birthday email).
Instructions:

Navigate to Dashboards via the Reporting menu
- Select Broker Dashboard - Preferences from the drop down menu and Click on ‘Go to Opt in Centre’

You can choose communication preferences for all of your contacts or for individuals using the tabs on screen.
- To opt-in or opt-out of all emails, select the option in the top right corner, or simply tick or untick the appropriate campaign categories. Please note that changes from opt-out to opt-in will take 2 business days to be reflected in the system. Changes from opt-in to opt-out will take 1 day to be reflected in the system.

To manage preferences at a contact level simply search for the contact by name.
